Agents of S.U.I.T. (Investigators: Agents of S.U.I.T. #1)

by John Patrick Green (Author) Pat Lewis (Illustrator)

InvestiGators fans, rejoice! Get ready to dive into the first volume of AGENTS OF S.U.I.T., featuring the weird and wacky co-workers of everyone's favorite sewer-sleuthing super-agents, Mango and Brash!

At S.U.I.T. headquarters, Cilantro the Chameleon finally gets what she's been waiting for: a field assignment. Only...it's literally out in the middle of a field, and her orders are so vague, she can hardly tell what she's supposed to be investigating. But as she begins to uncover a sheep-led worker's rights revolt and an alien invasion conspiracy--not to mention a spooky haunting at the abandoned S.U.I.T. field outpost--Cilantro steps into her own V.E.S.T. as a valued member of the S.U.I.T. team.

From InvestiGators mastermind John Patrick Green, the world of S.U.I.T. has never been more fun!

Gr 3 Up—Cilantro the Chameleon will be familiar to fans of the InvestiGators series of graphic novels as a supporting character who wants to be a field agent like her colleagues Mango and Brash. Cilantro is delighted when she is given her first field assignment but confused when it appears that she will be working in a field that contains nothing but some crops and a scarecrow. As Cilantro and her partner, Monocle, explore their surroundings, they learn that everything is not what it seems. Soon they are involved in a weird, twisted, and funny adventure involving a strange farmer, some adorable sheep, mysterious crop circles, alien conspiracy theories, and even that scarecrow. The artwork is bold and bright, with plenty of eye-catching action and humor to keep readers hooked. Readers will root for Cilantro as she steps out of the InvestiGators' shadow and takes center stage in her own adventure. This book is the first volume of a new series that is a spinoff of the popular InvestiGators series, but it is not necessary to have read those books to appreciate or understand this one. However, readers who enjoy this book will probably want to read the first series to explore the rest of this universe. VERDICT For fans of the InvestiGators series, as well as any kids who enjoy funny mystery stories and graphic novels.—Andrea Lipinski

John Patrick Green
John Patrick Green is a human with the human job of making books about animals with human jobs, notably the smash-hit graphic novel series InvestiGators. John is definitely a multiple New York Times bestselling human author and not just a bunch of animals in a trench coat pretending to have a human job. With over a million copes of InvestiGators in print, John is a successful human being with only two hands and a normal amount of fur. He lives in a Brooklyn apartment that doesn't allow animals other than the ones living in his head.
