The books deal with the world and the environment around us, with our past and our present. In a playful and clever way, these books tell children what they want to know!

Pirates! What do pirates wear? What do pirates eat? How do pirates live at sea and ashore? What does a pirate ship look like? What's the skull and crossbones flag called? How do pirates prepare to attack another ship? In this book you'll learn everything you've always wanted to know about pirates. Fact and fun merge in this big book with a game you can play, a sing-along song, a huge fold-out page, a pirate-quiz - all so you can become a real expert. Ahoy, come sail the high seas aboard a pirate ship! An informative and interactive picture book for children ages 6 and up about pirates.

Review quotes

Suzan Boshouwers
Suzan Boshouwers got her degree in illustration in 1993 from the Academy of Visual Arts in Den Bosch, after which she enjoyed a writing course. She writes commissioned educational texts and published a few picture books, some of which she illustrated too. With her husband and her son she lives in Vught (the Netherlands). Her son is her big source of inspiration: if she couldn't follow his inquisitive view of the world, she wouldn't be able to write books.

Margot Senden describes herself as a chaotic creative mother of two beautiful girls, with a passion for astronomy, music, art, and children's books. She works as a graphic designer and dreams of becoming one day a famous children's book illustrator.
