The I Love You Book

PreS-Gr 1Parr's smiley-faced people are back in this ode to unconditional love. The die-cut cover, revealing a child with arms open wide framed in a heart, sets a cheery tone. Each spread describes a situation and its opposite, such as "I love you when you are scared. I love you when you are brave." As in his previous books, the author/illustrator employs a palette of primary colors outlined in black for his depictions of diverse people and objects.
