The Bookmoji Builder: A Better Book Discovery Tool
Students visually articulate what they love through this engaging game, and when they're connected to books related to those well-loved things, they develop strong reading identities and become more engaged readers.
Playing on their own or through a structured classroom activity, your students can build up to four personalized avatars that reflect their interests and enthusiasms, adding costumes, pets, and favorite accessories like sporting equipment and musical instruments. Is Bookelicious free?
Yes! With an basic educator account, you can use Bookelicious.com with your students in classroom activities for book discovery and more! Have your students:
- build (play!) Bookmojis to get grade-appropriate book recommendations based on their own interests
- create wishlists of books they want to read
- write book reviews of titles they've already read
- find and borrow books from their nearest public library
Looking to do even more? With BookmojiPLUS, a subscription program, your school can automatically sync all classes, students receive a custom Bookmoji experience, and educators unlock the advanced Reading Tracker with worthwhile data and insights.
Do I need to create an account to get started?
For Event Programs, no account is needed. Simply fill out the event registration forms found on that program's webpage.
For our Student Choice Programs, you and your students should have accounts, but it's easy, especially if your school uses Clever, ClassLink or Google Classroom:
1. Sign In to Bookelicious using your own Signle Sign-On credentials OR find and launch "Bookelicious" from your school's Clever or ClassLink portal. This will automatically create a Bookelicious Educator account for you.
2. Import select classrooms from the My Classrooms page found under your account menu.
Clever/Classlink Only:
3. Add the Bookelicious app to your classroom portal. Depending on your school's setup, you may need to get permission from your Clever/ClassLink IT administrator.
4. Once the app is visible on students' Clever Dashboards (or ClassLink LaunchPads), they can simply open the app. Their Bookelicious accounts will automatically be created.
NOTE: Free Bookelicious accounts are only available for individual educators and their connected classrooms. If you want to share Bookelicious with your entire school or multiple schools in your district, check out BookmojiPLUS.
How do my students get started building Bookmojis?
- Teachers create or import their rosters (see Do I need to create an account to get started?)
- Students login using their Single Sign-on provider.
- Students start building a Bookmoji from their personalized homepage.
